Even though I read a meaty Orwell biography, I wanted to know more about him, especially his son, and came upon an excellent Orwell site. There's a lot I can pull out of there including articles, books, commentaries, links, and lots of other stuff that I doubt I'll get through in this lifetime. But check it out--it's worth a bookmark, for sure.

I love language, which is why I started Metrolingua. I currently translate Japanese and French, but I've also translated Spanish, Portuguese, and German. I speak Japanese pretty well and am a native English speaker. I used to speak more languages, but I've been putting more of my energy into radio, which is drying up due to consolidation and syndication. I also teach English as a Second Language (ESL) to adults, which is really enjoyable.
