Ok, I have to say this for the record: over 80,000 unique visitors have come here from over 100 countries. That's not bad, especially because I've done no promotion and hardly anyone mentions this blog. But it's true what I read when I first started: build it and they will come.

I love language, which is why I started Metrolingua. I currently translate Japanese and French, but I've also translated Spanish, Portuguese, and German. I speak Japanese pretty well and am a native English speaker. I used to speak more languages, but I've been putting more of my energy into radio, which is drying up due to consolidation and syndication. I also teach English as a Second Language (ESL) to adults, which is really enjoyable.
