I just received a Christmas card from possibly the only blogger in the entire world who has sent cards out to her readers. Not only did she send out a lot of cards, but she made each one by hand. I can tell that she spent a lot of time on it: it contains her picture, multi-colored pieces of paper, a ribbon that holds it together, and a small calendar. I love language, which is why I started Metrolingua. I currently translate Japanese and French, but I've also translated Spanish, Portuguese, and German. I speak Japanese pretty well and am a native English speaker. I used to speak more languages, but I've been putting more of my energy into radio, which is drying up due to consolidation and syndication. I also teach English as a Second Language (ESL) to adults, which is really enjoyable.
